A Unique Garden Estate
Sugarland is a unique garden estate over 150 years old, hosting beautiful weddings, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, family reunions and welcoming guests year round into their charming farmhouse and cottage.
The farmhouse can sleep up to 10 guests comfortably.
The main house is a fully restored 1850’s colonial revival farmhouse tastefully decorated with primitive antiques. The two-story house exemplifies Wisconsin character inside and out. The hardwood plank floors are accented with both antique and updated furniture and décor. Porches on both sides of the home reveal many breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
This house is the perfect place for bridal party preparation, wedding party photography or accommodations for the bridal party and family. There are mirrors in every room including a full length three-way mirror for the bride.
The cottage
The cottage located by the old mill site and stream is designed with the groomsman in mind. Featuring a flat screen TV, casual porch and fully stocked kitchen it is a great place for the guys to relax beforehand. So when called upon, they will be refreshed and ready to go. The cottage can sleep up to 8 guests comfortably.
The Wedding oak
The centerpiece of the day is the majestic oak tree. The Wedding Oak Tree of Sugarland is over 150 years old and stands in the center of the estate. It is by far the most popular ceremony site for our couples. Imagine exchanging your vows beneath the leafy canopy of this ancient oak tree with the picturesque backdrop of the surrounding bluffs and cornfields. All the while your guests are shaded by the branches of this majestic oak.
The Barn
The 4000-square foot Barn completes the picture with its open-air feel and beautiful reception space accommodating up to 300 guests. Grand sliding barn doors contribute to the rustic character of the space as well as serving as the ideal backdrop for the wedding party. The barn provides all the modern amenities you need for a successful event while retaining its rustic appeal: licensed commercial kitchen, custom bar made from barn floor planks and beautifully appointed air conditioned modern bathrooms. Wood floors tied in with exposed rafters and romantic custom made wrought iron chandeliers on dimmers compliment any style. The front patio is a great gathering space for cocktail hour and later in the evening, roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. For a more rustic gathering we have a larger campfire in the back. And don’t worry... we provide the fire wood.
